Or is she the free-spirited but ambitious journalist? As Maya puts together the pieces of her dad’s romantic puzzle, she begins to understand that love is not so simple or easy. does my boyfriend take me for granted?
we’ve been dating for about five months now and in the beginning, he would always ask me to come over like two times a week or so, and he would always be really talkative and happy around me. he still is, but he doesnt call unless we’ve made plans to hang out (which he never bails on, and he’s never been one to call just to say hi anyway)
he always introduces me as his girlfriend but he never really holds my hand or cuddles with me when we’re around our friends or anything.
last night he snuggled me all night long when we were sleeping and it felt so nice, i think it’s his way of showing me how much he cares but sometimes i wish he’d compliment me on how i looked or said more sweet things. he’s really shy and he told me before that he wishes i’d just cuddle him more because he’s "so chicken" haha, which i think is cute but i’m so shy and i feel like if i don’t start making more moves, then he’ll get bored or think i don’t want to be with him.
i’ve tried playing hard to get but that doesn’t work with this guy, it seems the more i act like i want him, the closer he feels to me.
he’s always asking if i’m cold, hungry, etc when i’m at his house and takes care of me when i’m at his house, which means a lot. but he rarely invites me over anymore and is constantly hanging out with his brother. he always insists that if something was wrong, he would definitely tell me and i trust that. i just feel like maybe he’s taking me for granted, but maybe i’m just not putting myself out there enough.
do you think i’m just being paranoid?

Yeah, playing hard to get with a shy guy just isn’t going to work. Sounds like you are being a bit paranoid, he sounds lovely! Just make the move first once in a while, since he’s obviously shy to. Maybe your taking him a bit for granted sweetie

He seems really nice, just you should make the first moves sometimes, if he is really shy. Beleive me i know, im really shy and want to ask someone out but im too chicken! So just stay with him, and you should invite him round to your house once in a while. Matt
