Moulin Rouge – and I don’t mean that horrible film made with Nicole Kidman. I’m referring to the brilliant John Huston movie on the life of Toulouse Laurtrec, which came out in the 1950s.
And for a recent film, please check out Art School Confidential. Not only is it one of the funniest movies of the last 10 years, it’s spot-on accurate (as far as life at an art school). I majored in art in college and had hot-and-cold flashbacks while sitting in the audience, because the movie was so accurate!

“We have white tiles out the back and they were covered in red too.”
Too early for a dearth of weather experts and pundits to have explained the oddity, Ms Allard’s imagination volunteered three possibilities: a volcanic eruption, meteor strike, or the end of the world.
But not all were over-awed by nature’s spectacle.

So I live in maryland and we are getting POUNDED with snow right now. I think it’s going to end up being around 2ft of snow. I’ve always dreamed of having a white Christmas! Tomorrow is sunday and it’s going to be cloudy and cold and the snow will stop tomorrow morning. Christmas is on friday and until then it’s supposed to be in the mid to low 30’s during the day and the low twenties at night. On friday though it’s supposed to be 40 degrees and it might rain

If gun rights continue to expand and the American people open carry nationwide 20-30 years from now…will America be safer? Will the 2nd Amendment reduce crime nationwide?
I believe that if gun rights continue expanding the way they are right now and if this movement grows instead of going down, America will be much safer and the 2nd Amendment would have fewer opposition.

What I think will happen: You’ll have more open carry and conceal carry w/ permit states, but more weapons will be outlawed. I don’t believe that open carry v. gun ban has as great an effect on crime as the politicians would have you believe–responsible gun owners are very rarely responsible for gun violence, including for self-defense. Each side can create imagined scenarios–if everyone were packing, who would hold anyone up?, and if we didn’t have guns available in stores and owned by the public, where would criminals steal or buy them? People with the blinders off know that criminals will find their guns somewhere (even if they have to import them), and that fear of citizens and police rarely deter people who think a gun is a way to get something for nothing by robbing someone.
What I wish would happen: That the right to bear arms would be limited only in much smaller ways than it is today. The list of places (in gun-friendly states) where you can’t carry a gun continues to grow for silly reasons. The list of reasons a person can be denied the privilege (can’t call it a right anymore, hasn’t been for years) of carrying a gun also gets longer for silly reasons, and that needs to change as well. The list of places you shouldn’t be allowed to carry: posted private property, courthouses, jails, and public places that are used to gather a very large group (stadiums and arenas) when the event organizers wish to ban guns. The list of people who have lost the privelege of gun ownership should be limited to people who have committed a violent crime with a weapon. In short–bring freedom back. If you haven’t abused weapons you should be allowed to have them. And you should be allowed to carry one just about anywhere, unless the property owner has asked you not to.

This is not the political section. The Constitution is forever and a lot of us has sworn to defend it with our lives,and that means the amendments too. Open carry by responsible and trained citizens in the use of firearms can be the biggest preventor of crime. When citizens can come to the aid of other victims more crime will be stopped. Safer America because of the armed citizen.

The 2nd amendment (or rather the current interpretation of it) causes crime, it doesn’t prevent it. Nobody should be allowed to own a gun for any reason. The 2nd amendment states that its purpose was the establishment of a well regulated militia. That doesn’t apply anymore.

The Second Amendment is written in stone and isn’t going anywhere. So the next move has always been to slowly eliminate certain firearms. The first was full automatics and the nest was semi-auto rifles. But Heller vs D.C. and George Bush Jr through a money wrench in that plan. George Bush failed to reinstate the 1994 AWB like he said he would and Heller vs D.C. states you can’t ban a common firearm. That is what they made the mistake with the first semi-auto rifle ban. You see, the 1994 AWB brought tons of people out of the wood works buying AR15s. I didn’t even on an AR15 before the AWB and now I own about a dozen. So now the rifle is very common. So the chances of an AWB passing is slim to none.
Now at the being of the year President Obama started working on a National Arms Treaty with Mexico. This was basically a back door AWB and out right treason since it was a treaty with a foreign nation that would abolish part of our Constitutional Rights. That deal seems to have got shelved when Eric Holder started in with talks of another AWB. The people went nutz calling and complaining. And for the first time in history that I know of, we had 7 states writting and or passing a bill that told the Federal government to kiss off if they plan on passing another AWB. So for now things seems like a dead lock. I don’t see anything taking place at least until the next terrorist attack. I’m sure the next major attack will be from domestic or home grown terrorist. If/when that happens it will turn into that movie "The Seige." They will use it as an excuse to go door to door collecting firearms. That is when the people will have had enough and start grabbing their pitch forks. Hopefully that is all BS but who knows.
